The Second Edition of Bazaar will Shine in Dhofar
Investors and citizens across Oman are turning their attention to Dhofar Governorate, where work is underway to establish the second edition of the Bazaar projects. This new venture is set to build on the success of its counterpart in Sohar, with a grand opening expected by 2025.
This ambitious project aims to enhance the commercial and tourism landscape of Dhofar, a region renowned for its stunning natural beauty and unique tourist season. Strategically located in the heart of Salalah along major roads, the Bazaar will be easily accessible from various residential and tourist areas. The design of the project carefully blends the authentic Omani architectural style with modern touches, reflecting the rich heritage of the area while considering the region’s distinctive climate, especially during the Khareef (monsoon) season.
The project will feature a variety of specialized markets, including the Women’s Market and the first-of-its-kind Spice and perfumer Market, a hallmark of the Bazaar projects. Other markets include the Men’s Supplies Market, the Perfume Market, the Electronics Market, and a general goods market, in addition to a hypermarket spanning 1,800 square meters.
Bazaar Salalah will also offer a selection of restaurants and cafés centered around a hanging garden, serving a fusion of local and international cuisines. The modern shopping center, complete with a hypermarket, will cater to the needs of both residents and visitors.
The project is expected to significantly contribute to the commercial and tourism activity in Dhofar, particularly during the Khareef season, which attracts thousands of tourists from within and outside the Sultanate. Additionally, the project will create numerous new job opportunities for the residents of the governorate.
Bazaar's modern facilities are designed to cater to a wide range of visitors, with dedicated family and children’s entertainment areas, as well as spaces for cultural events and artistic performances. The design also incorporates expansive green spaces that complement Dhofar’s lush landscape.
With this dynamic project, Dhofar reaffirms its status as a leading commercial and tourist destination in the region. Bazaar Salalah will become a landmark that bridges the rich heritage of the past with the developments of the present, contributing to the economic and tourism growth in the governorate. It will also serve as an ideal platform to showcase Dhofar’s deep-rooted cultural heritage in a modern and authentic way.
